Official description
The perfect expression of Piaget's unrivaled expertise in the designing of ultra-thin complication movements, the Piaget Emperador watch is the thinnest ultra-thin shaped automatic tourbillon skeleton model in the world, with its cushion-shaped case that is just 8.85 mm thick. Equipped with a remarkable inverted structure and entirely skeletonized, this decidedly masculine skeleton watch has a distinguished, modern design. In terms of indication display, there is no dial to obstruct the fascinating sight of the tourbillon, bridges and oscillating weight, made from platinum treated with black PVD and matched by the blackened hands, screws and tourbillon carriage, all of which underline the resolutely contemporary appearance of this exceptional watch. The off-centered micro-rotor and tourbillon cage, surmounted by a letter 'P' for 'Piaget' , intertwine to form an '8'. This structure, the only one of its kind in the world, reveals all the watch's main functional elements - its automatic mechanism, motor, regulator and gear train. Housed in a white gold case, the 1270S movement is fitted with delicately-crafted Haute Horlogerie finishes, visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
